Our ProcessCultivating success every step of the way

This is an early evaluation of a potential site to screen for fatal flaws. We evaluate +_ 10 aspects of a project site, from wind resource to land availability and transmission.
Project Feasibility
Positive community relations are essential for a successful project. Wind projects depend on local support, whether from landowners or government officials. Strong relationships and communications ensure there are no surprises throughout the process. A good wind project becomes a positive component of the local economy and community. That starts with a well-developed plan for building those relationships – holding landowner meetings, meeting folks at their homes, in the field or on a tractor.
Community Engagement
Working with landowners to lease their land starts with land agents who love what they do and care about the people they meet. We connect with the landowners and their families to share how a wind energy project works and how they can participate.
Land Acquisition
We review the title on each and every parcel to find the vesting deed confirming ownership and to discover if there are any encumbrances already recorded on the land that would prohibit wind development. We work diligently with landowners, their families or their trusts to ensure title is clear for the project.
Title & Trust
We design a Meteorological Campaign to measure and report on the wind resource. The end goal is to have comprehensive wind data to help us locate the turbines in the best places. This builds an energy production estimate and a strong bankable wind resource report.
Wind Resource
Because requirements vary by locale, we research all possible environmental studies and permits that may need to be completed for any given project. We plan and track the tasks and timelines in detail to manage studies to high-quality completion. We then compile all the data necessary for a smooth permitting process.
Environmental, Permitting & Regulatory
We navigate the interconnection application process by maximizing the information we have, establishing what is controllable throughout the process, and then building out time and cost contingencies.
Grid Interconnection
With robust engineering, we can establish the fine balance between reliability, efficiency and cost-effectiveness to get the most out of every project.
Engineering
Large equipment and services have long lead times and significant budget impacts. We contract and track these critical aspects that are essential for successful and timely delivery.
Procurement & Contracting
We coordinate with the landowners and the community to ensure a smooth construction process. Communities benefit from the wind farm during construction. Locals are hired and many workers frequent the restaurants, hotels and shopping establishments.
